Four month stats

I first off have to say how PROUD I am of my little guy. We had his four month check-up today where he had to get four shots. The first two he did not cry at all! He cried a little bit with the last two but was fine once I picked him up. He is such a strong little guy.

Weight: 13lb 9oz -- 25th percentile
Height: 25 3/4in -- 75th percentile
Head circumference 10th percentile

Weight:
I'm going to be keeping an eye on his weight. He used to be in the 50th percentile and has dropped down to the 25th. I talked to the pediatrician about it and she doesn't seem too concerned. Suggested feeding him more frequently. She had also suggested starting with rice cereal if we wanted to, but we are going to wait until 6 months per recommendation from the WHO (world health organization) for breast fed babies. I loved the fact that she didn't push us to do anything we didn't want to. We are going to continue seeing the lactation consultant. We go in between pediatrician appointments for a weight check, but might start going more often to make sure he's gaining enough.

Height & Head:
I have such a long little boy! Maybe he'll just be long and lean. It's funny cause he outgrows clothes in length before weight and they are swimming on him in his belly, but have just enough room for his length. He also has a tiny head. That went from 25th percentile to 10th percentile but they're not concerned. He's still growing and is hitting all his milestones. No wonder I'm having trouble finding hats that fit him. I have a newborn baseball cap for him that is too big!
Milestone:
He can roll over both ways! He can tripod sit for a few seconds. He's also "found" his hands and will grab toys (or my hair).

He LOVES his new jumparoo we got for him off of Craigslist!

Mommy always gets big smiles.

Look at the tripod sitter

Mason can now sit in tripod form. Only for a few seconds before he falls over, but I'm so proud of him!! He's also rolling over all the time now. He needs to slow down.

Rolly Polly Take 2

For some reason no matter what I do I can't upload a video that's less than 2 min. I had to take another one and it's only 20 seconds.

Rolly Polly

Mason first rolled over from his belly to back at 2 months, but didn't do it very often. At 3 months he was doing it allt he time and he's now a pro. He'll roll to the left, roll to the right - he just loves to flip over. His new thing is rolling from his back to his belly. Most of the time he'll get stuck on his arm but a few times he's rolled over the whole way. All this moving is making nap & bedtime very difficult. He wants to play instead of going to sleep. As I type right now he is in his crip refusing to go down for his 9am nap. I'm going to have one cranky boy today!

M is a pro rolling over from his belly to back

A failed attempt to roll from back to belly

I'm having trouble uploading the video when he actually rolled over the whole way so I'll just post these for now. I've been working on this for 2 days. Stupid blogger.

Mason's First Easter

Here are some pictures from Easter morning. We went to church and then headed off to Great-Grandma's in New Jersey. Mason got to meet his great-great aunts & uncles for the first time!

Easter slideshow

Easter fun!

I am so excited for Mason's first Easter. Perhaps overcomponsating since he missed out on his first Christmas festivities, but I'd probably still be going overboard even if he was born in July. We've gone to see the Easter Bunny. Colored eggs. And have had many photp shoots with more to come. Enjoy the slideshow of my faves.

First Date Night!

Last night Chris and I went on our first date since Mason and Nonna was nice enough to come over and babysit. I wish I could say Mason behaved himself. He woke up 20 min. after we left and gave Nonna a hard time getting back to sleep. Then he woke up again right before we got home. Poor Nonna. I swear he doesn't normally do this. He'll sleep anywhere from 5-10 hours his first stretch. He must've known we had left.

Luckily we were none the wiser till we got home and Nonna filled us in. We were able to enjoy our night out and had a fanstasic dinner.
Of course we weren't completely away from babies. We sat in the bar area and to our surprise there was a baby at the bar! The mom had her carseat on a stool as she sat there drinking wine with her dad (at least I think it was her dad). Just to clarify - I'm not opposed to mom's getting out and have a couple drinks. But instead of sitting in the restaurant having wine will eating dinner she was AT THE BAR with her baby balancing on a bar stool. Not cool in my opinion!

I couldn't believe my eyes - so of course I had to take some pictures with my phone. See for your own eyes!!
