It happened again for the THIRD time

Chris is an assistant wrestlling coach and Mason and I went to a meet tonight. It was parents night for the seniors and there was pizza afterwards. I was walking around with Mason and one of the dads asked me if he was mine. Too bad I haven't thought of any comebacks yet. Although since Chris is a coach I probably wouldn't have used any with the dad. I promise I'm going to think of something for the next time someone asks me, because it's bound to happen again.

Is that your baby?

So far I have been out with Mason by myself twice. Both times I had a teenage/early 20's girl ask me, "Is that your baby?" Both times I reply yes and then they say, "Oh he's cute." Seriously, who asks that? When I was 16-18 and babysitting an infant no one would ask me that. Now that I'm almost 27 and have a child no one believes that he's mine? I asked my friend Heather who has a 2 month of if anyone has done that to her, and they haven't. I wonder how many more times it's going to happen to me. I should think of some witty comeback to say next time. Any suggestions?

Bed rest sucks

I go through the whole pregnancy without any complications, and of course after birth is when I have to take it easy.

I had a 4th degree tear and at my two week appointment I was told one of my stitches popped. So for two weeks I have to take it easy and keep my legs closed which means no walking up and down the stairs. It makes it pretty difficult in my small house with the bedrooms upstairs and the one bathroom downstairs. Every morning we move everything we need downstairs where I get to hang out on the couch all day and then when it's time for bed we move everything back upstairs. It is times like now that I wish I had a laptop. I am having internet withdrawels. On the positive side though Chris has to do the laundry now since it's in the basement. And boy do we have a lot of laundry now.

One week down, one more to go.

Mason is doing great. He's a really happy baby for the most part. Not getting much sleep, but it could be worse. At least I get to take naps during the day.

So many firsts

I love how everything we do lately is Mason's first. Mason is such a good baby and is great when we take him places. The pediatrician would probably kill us if he knew how many places Mason's been so far, but we only go for a couple minutes and no one goes near him. Mason is only 10 days old and he's already had his first Christmas, first New Years and first lunch outing to name a few. I still can't believe that Chris and I are parents.

Mason's first pediatrician appointment: We have a healthy growing boy! It usually takes baby's two weeks to get back up to their birth wait, but not our Mason. He is now 7 lb14 1/4 oz. We were told not to bring him anywhere for three months. Whoops, don't think we'll be able to do that.
