12 month appointment

Mason did really well at his 12 months appointment. Not much has happened from 11 months to 12 months. He walks very fast now - he's practically running!

Weight - 19 lbs 5 oz - 10th percentile
Height - 30 inches - 75th percentile
Head - 25th percentile

His growth has slowed down (which is normal at this age) but he's still growing. He's a very long and lean boy. Everyone always thinks he's so tiny - it's probably because of his weight and small head. I get comments all the time about how someone's 9 month old is sooo much bigger than M. I bet if they were standing next to each other Mason would tower over them though!

Merry Christmas

Better late then never :)

In this house it's always Mason's birthday first - then Christmas. So in the morning we made sure to say Happy Birthday and then Merry Christmas. Most of our family is great about that too.

family party

We had a family birthday party for Mason a couple days after his birthday. He had so much fun with everyone! He didn't care too much for opening his presents. Most of the time he was walking away and I was left opening them by myself. He does love playing with them all now that they are out of the packaging!

I made Mason his own cake and then a cake for his guests.

Mason's Birthday

We came home early from Christmas festivities to celebrate Mason's birthday. He opened his birthday present from us - the Pottery Barn Anywhere Chair and climbed all over it. We made Mason's favorite dinner - Pasta! and then had some angel food cake with strawberries. I had only introduced strawberries the day before and Mason loved them! It was such a great day!
