another kids museum

While on our beach vacation we went to a children's museum. Most of it was geared towards kids a little older but Mason still had a blast.

Have I mentioned I LOVE having the museum pass now that we actually use it.

Last beach trip : Day 1

We went to the beach for the weekend and M had so much fun. On Friday we went just in the morning and then Saturday we went all day. We brought his stroller so he could nap in there. He wasn't too much of a happy camper when he woke up though. I think it was a very long day for the little guy.

Kid City

We've been to a Children's museum with our membership 5 times this summer! This time we went to Kid City. They have all these different themed rooms that are so much fun to play in.

stepping stones

We have a membership at one of our local Children's museums. We can use the membership at several Children's museums around the country - it's such a great deal!

We recently went to Stepping Stones. It's such a cute place and Mason had a blast. Some of the stuff is for older kids but he loved playing in the water room and in the construction area.

a day at the park

Beware for cuteness overload and many many photos.

Several days a week I do a stroller exercise class. They are done at parks so I usually let Mason play with his friends unless we have somewhere to be right after. I finally brought my camera to capture all the fun he has.

This was the first time he went down a big slide by himself! He was so happy and did it over and over and over again. He's becoming such a big boy!
Look at his crazy hair while he runs!

at nonna's and grandpa's

It's so nice living down the street from Chris' parents. Mason and Coors love to go swimming in their pool and a free dinner is always great :)

swim lessons

The first time I signed Mason up for swim lessons it was through our park and rec. It was taught by several high school/ college age kids. Unfortunately it wasn't that organized and I didn't feel he learned a lot. One day while waiting for the class to start I was talking to another mom and she mentioned the swim lessons her son did at another place. I loved her description so I canceled our 2nd session through park and rec and signed Mason up for the new swim class.

The new swim lessons were great! There was one teacher (instead of 4 or 5) and it really organized. We missed the first 2 classes because the session had already started but Mason caught right on. There was a lot of singing and playing games but it was also educational. We could count to 3 before having the kids jump in the water. That taught them to wait for Mom or Dad and the count of 3 before going in the water. They had the kids go under water. I thought Mason was going to hate it (which he did) but it wasn't as bad as I thought. He now will blow bubbles in the water and has gotten much more comfortable. I can't wait to take lessons with him again - we'll probably have to wait until the winter though with #2 coming in about 5 weeks!

the dentist will be so happy

Mason loves to brush his teeth. We recently got him a stool so he can stand up at the sink and brush them on his own. There are days he brushes his teeth 4+ times just because he loves it so much!
