Introducing......

So I'm going to torture you (well those who don't know already..) and first post the birth story. Don't worry, it's not very long. Things went very quickly once we got to the hospital!

I woke up early Sunday morning around 2:30 am to contractions every 7-9 minutes. They were like that all morning and early afternoon.

At 2pm they were getting closer about 4-5 minutes apart. They were getting more intense so I called OB at 4pm. They told me to come to the hospital and we'd see what was going on. Chris called his mom and we finished packing.

I got admitted around 6pm at 3cm. Went into the tub for a bit and then got out to start IV so I could get the epidural.

At 8pm I got the epidural and my doula and birth photographer arrived. From here things went pretty quick. At 9pm I was feeling pain/pressure. I pressed the epidural booster thing and next thing you know I hear a pop and my water broke. I got checked and was already 9cm!! The contractions were one on top of the other and got a booster for the epidural but it just wasn't happening. I felt like I needed to push, was checked and baby was at +2. Pushed through 3 contractions and less than 10 min later we met our baby GIRL!

Piper Ann was born at 9:48pm. 7lbs 12oz, 20 in. She is just perfect!

I'll be getting the birth photos later this week and can't wait to share them. I got the gallery last night and am in love with them!



The boys are in love with their baby sister. They love to hold her and give her kisses. Ryder calls her, "my baby." He doesn't want to share :)

brotherly love

I just love this photo so much. Ryder wanted to sleep in Mason's bed. Usually when they try 5 minutes later they are still making so much noise and fighting. I told them they had 5 minutes and if it didn't work Ryder would go back to his bed. A while later I realized it was still quiet in there. I went to check on them and saw the cutest thing ever! I totally risked waking them up but I couldn't pass up capturing this moment.

It's beginning to look like Christmas!

I have always loved the magic of Christmas, and now having children of my own the magic is back through their eyes. I love all the "oohhhs" and "ahhhs" when they see our tree all lit up.

Gingerbread House

We made our first gingerbread house. At first I had big plans of doing it from scratch, but decided that was just too complicated for being 9 months pregnant. Instead I bought a kit at Target and it was just as much fun!

39 weeks

Yesterday marked 39 weeks. There are now 6 days until my due date. Oh my!

Time to Decorate

It's very exciting to have a tree inside the house! The boys had a blast decorating it. Of course everything was all very low and several ornaments on one branch!

Finding our Christmas Tree

Every year we go and cut down our Christmas tree. Last year Ryder fell asleep in the car so he missed out on the festivities. This year he didn't miss out one bit and had a great time.

We ended up going to two different places. The first place was a little complicated in the tree cutting process but we were there long enough for a few photos.



We then went where we went last year, and where we'll continue to go. It's the same owner of the pumpkin patch we go to. We got to see all the animals which of course the boys loved.

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving and even got a couple photos. So much for cooperation but their cousins were running around outside and they wanted to play too!
