Big News!

We bought a house!

This has been in the works but we were keeping things very hush hush until we got the approval for everything. It has been a very busy past couple of weeks. Dec 3rd our tenants signed the lease and moved in two days later. On the 4th we got the clear to close and found out on Monday that we were closing on Friday. The previous owners have been great through this whole process and let us move our stuff in early. So by the time we closed on Friday everything was here and we moved right in!

This is going to be our "forever home". We are not moving ever again (unless our kids throw us into a nursing home some day). It met most of the requirements that both Chris and I wanted - which is hard to believe! I thought we would never find something we both liked.

My requirements were:
4+ bedrooms
2+ bathrooms
can see from road (not some super long driveway where you have no clue where the house is)
Good school system
neighborhood setting - good for walking the dog & Mason

Chris' requirements were:

2+ acres or on a lake
room for his work equipment

This house has it all. It has 2.2 acres AND is on a lake! Chris is in heaven. It's the same neighborhood that Chris grew up in (his parents are still down the street!). We know most of the neighbors and have been coming here to walk our dog for years. It is still hard to believe that it is ours. Mason loves all the room he has to walk around and is getting into a lot of trouble. We ordered a bunch of baby proofing supplies from OneStepAhead but only the gate has arrived so far. Hopefully the rest will come soon.

The house was built in 1970 and hasn't been updated since so we will have our work cut out for us. It's in great condition though and over time we'll be able to update it to our liking.
Mason's Room
Our Bedroom
Our shower - there are 2 shower heads and a huge tub
Living Room
Kitchen (hello 1970!)
Dining Room
The yard - the lake is down behing those trees.
We have a dry sauna!
Mason's Playroom - I can't wait to finish that project!
