We really try to avoid having Mason in bed with us, but that doesn't always happen. Sometimes exhaustion takes over and Mom and Dad need a nap too!

I'm a mommy!!
It's a BOY!!!!
Mason Christopher was born Christmas morning at 7:48 am weighimg 7lb13oz. We came home on Saturday morning and he has been absolutely amazing. We are so blessed to have him in our lives. I'll try to post some information later. I never knew how valuable time was until now when I don't have any of it.
We're a family!

into single digits!
There's 9 days left to my due date. Wow. I was really hoping I'd be one of the lucky ones and not make it to single digits, but here I am. Each day that goes by is just another day closer. Like my doctor said at my last appointment, "The baby WILL come". Hopefully it's sooner than later, but I'm running out of time to be early. I really don't mind being late. I'm just worried about the baby being born on Christmas Day. If I'm early I wouldn't have to worry about that anymore.

My grandma's the best!
My grandma is so excited to become a great-grandma. Last week we get an envelope addressed to Baby S*** and inside it was a advent calendar. A few days later another envelope comes addressed to great-grandchild S***. My grandmother had found these cute handmade booties when she was in Bethlehem, PA. Apparently it was quite a process for her. First she found some green ones but didn't like the pattern. Then she found some orange ones but thought that my husband would never put a boy in orange. She finally found the red, white, and blue ones and decided on those. She wants to know the sex of the baby so bad. Hopefully we'll all know VERY soon. I can't wait to make her a great-grandma!

All ready for Christmas!
The house is decorated. The tree is up. The presents are wrapped. I've never been so on top of things in my life! Only have two more gifts to buy which will get done this week. The only thing we're missing now is our baby!
I hope we're able to fill the empty spot with a stocking for baby! The stocking on the end is our dogs :) If I deliver very close to Christmas I'm going to need help from friends and family to get all that "baby's first Christmas" stuff. I don't want to jinx myself by buying all that stuff not knowing when baby will come.

I'm baking a porker!
I had a growth ultrasound today and baby is measuring 7 lb 2 oz already! Since I still have three weeks to go and baby gains 1/2 lb a week they are estimating this baby to be 8 lb 10 oz. I know it's just a guesstimate but it's still pretty scary. I should probably buy some more 0-3 mo onesies since it looks like this little one might not fit into newborn size clothes.

35 weeks and 35 days
I still can't believe how soon we're going to meet our baby. 5 weeks to go, and that's if I make it to my due date. I'm not even thinking about going over, that's not a possibility. Ok, well it is a possibility but I'm trying to be positive here!
At my Doctor's appointment yesterday he said he gives the baby permission to come out anytime after one and a half weeks. So I basically could have this baby in November if I go into labor the weekend after Thanksgiving. I don't think that's going to happen but you never know! I've been getting on Chris' case about finishing looking at the name book because this baby could be here in 9 days. Wow, 9 days...on that note I'm going to finish some things around the house now!
I'll leave you with a picture of Coors sleeping like an angel.

Eric does awesome ring shots so I asked him if he could do one for us. Our rings are on top of Chris' chainsaw
No we don't have any names picked out yet.

Maternity Photos!
Yesterday we had professional maternity photos done at our home. It was so much fun and I'm so impressed with Eric! Not only is he a fantastic photographer but he's fast too. He already has posted a sneak peek on his blog. I can't say enough good things about RawPhotoDesign. I'm already trying to figure out a way to have him do newborn photos when our little one arrives.
Check out the rest of the sneak peek: www.rawphotodesign.com/blog
I'm so excited to see the rest of the photos in a few weeks. He took over 500!

33 Week appointment
I had my 33 Week appointment yesterday and we got some great news. Baby's head is down! I have to say I relieved that baby is getting into position. When I had the ultrasound at 24 weeks baby was breech. I know that there was still a lot of room in there and baby had plenty of time to move, but it was always in the back of my mind that the baby was still breech. I always feel something hard on the upper right hand side of my belly and I thought that could've been the head. Well it turns out that's the baby's butt!
Here are some pictures we took today at the lake. I love the fall leaves!

The nursery is *almost* done
The only things that are left to do is get new bedding for the double bed (will be done after baby arrives) and hang something above the dresser. I was going to do some picture frames, but now I'm thinking of wall letters. Not sure yet, but if we do wall letters that will have to be done after baby comes. So as of right now the nursery is complete!
Don't worry nesties, the bumper, animals, and quilt will all be removed before baby's arrival.

Baby things
I've been very busy this week getting things organized so I could set up some baby things. So far the upstairs is all organized and this week I have to work on the downstairs. It's so nice being able to see the floor now. When I saw things were cluttered, they were REALLY cluttered. The only major thing I have left to set up in the pack n play and Chris has to install the car seats. I'll probably get the pack n play done this week and we'll wait a little longer on the car seats.
I'll leave you with the most recent pic of me. Look - the pumpkin is bigger than my belly!

10 weeks to go!
Wow. It's all starting to hit me. On Monday our birthing classes start and on Tuesday we have an appointment to meet with the pediatrician we're hoping to use. Time is going by so fast. In (hopefully) less than 10 weeks we'll have a baby.
We went on a shopping spree last week to BRU to try to get some more things we need. Ended up saving $45 with all the coupons we had! That store has become my new home. We've been busy setting everything up and I've been working my butt off on organizing the house. I have about 5 garbage bags of junk that I have to have Chris take outside. I think I'm going to have to take a break until garbage day on Tuesday because there won't be anymore room in the can. It will be nice once everything's all organized though. In a small house it's very easy for things to get cluttered. Luckily the nesting phase has started to kick in so I should be able to get things in order before the baby comes.

My friend Heather is due November 30th. We took pictures together back in the beginning of July and then again at my shower. It's funny we even thought we had bumps back in July.

Baby Shower
I had a GREAT baby shower yesterday. Everyone was so generous and we just have the cutest things for our little one. All three Grandma's were the hostesses and they did a great job with everything. I was so happy to be able to spend the afternoon with friends and family. Now if only everything could be magically put away.
Thanks everyone for making it such a special day! Here are some pictures:

When we got home I took everything I could inside and started going through it. Hopefully Chris will take the big stuff in today! Now I just need to figure out where to put everything. The challenges of a small house.
