Ryder was Baptized on at the Easter vigil service. It started at 8pm and didn't end until 10pm. Not only did we have Ryder there, but Mason as well. I have to say I wasn't looking forward to it since it was so late in the evening. Both of the kids go to bed around 7. Ryder's Godparents live in North Carolina so it was the soonest date that worked for all of us (our Church only does a handful of Baptism's a year on certain dates). Despite being nervous and wondering why we picked this date on the way to the church everything went well. It was a beautiful service that started out in pitch black and was candlelit in the beginning. Mason loved looking at all the candles and only got burned twice. There was a couple iffy moments with Ryder but I just went to the back and helped him get to sleep. It was a very busy week for us with having Ryder's Godparents here, the Baptism and then hosting Easter the next day. I was happy to see Monday and get back into our routine.
The day before his Baptism we did a quick little photo shoot while Mason was napping. Ryder wore the same outfit Mason did. It was made out of my wedding gown!
We finally decided what we were going to use the store credit we had from your Christmas gift. Ryder can't use it yet but I'm sure he'll love it next year.
It's called a balance bike. It's basically a two wheel bike without pedals. First they just walk with it between their legs and eventually they'll be lifting their feet up and gliding with it. It skips the whole step of needing a bike with training wheels and teaches them how to properly balance.
So I finally decided that my blog needs a new look. Well I decided a while ago but now I actually sat down to do it. As you probably already know photography is a hobby (or obesession) of mine so coming soon will be larger photos to show off my cutie pies! I have a lot of updating to do because we've been busy and many many photos will follow. To tie you over here's the boys in their Easter outfits. Stay tuned for more!
On your mark, get set.... He's not crawling on his knees yet but I think he'll be there soon! He scoots/army crawls forward to get where he wants to go. He is always up on his knees and rocking. I love watching all these milestones!
Ryder gets worn a lot. When we're at home he's in the Ergo and if we're out and about he's in the BabyHawk. It's the only way I can get things done with the two of them. Luckily Ryder doesn't mind and he loves hanging out with me :)
Right now the nice days are few and far between. When there is a nice day we get outside as much as possible. Mason should have been in this one but he kept running away :(
