So I was actually able to get Mason to sit near the Christmas tree. He even posed for some of them!

Holiday photos
I was going to wait closer to Christmas to post this - but I have time tonight and millions of cute holiday photos to share. And even though I don't like to think about it - Christmas is only 10 days away. That means Mason is almost TWO!!
This is our Christmas card photo. It should be arriving to people soon. Just mailed it out today!
I think he looks like my mom and myself as a baby here. My mom and I looked almost identical to each other as babies.
My avent calender. I have a story about when I got this. Since Chris and I got married (maybe even before) I was looking for an avent calendar like the one I had growing up. All the ones I could find either had doors, or some snowflake object on a long string that you moved from day to day. What I had growing up was an avent calendar similar to the one pictured here. There were little objects in each day and you would hang them up with velcro. When my sisters were too young to do it I got to do each day and then I'd alternate with my sisters as they got older. It was something I always looked forward to during Christmas time. As you probably know - Mason was born Christmas Day 2008. Since I was in the hospital and just had a baby we didn't do Christmas with our families until afterwards. My mom and my sisters came over after we got home. When I opened the avent calendar I started crying. I'm not talking about a tear or two- I'm talking full blown hysterically crying. It probably had a lot to do with all the new mom hormones but I was just so blown away by the gift. When they bought it, it didn't look like this. There was some sewing & glueing to make it exactly what I wanted. It was by far one of my favorite Christmas presents (besides my son of course!)

feeding baby
Mason recently got a baby. We were at Toys R Us and he insisted on it. He had recently gotten money to buy a gift for himself so a baby it was. He loves to hold his baby and take care of her. Once when we were leaving to go somewhere he stuffed her in the car seat with Ryder. He puts diapers on her and even breastfeed her. I'm sure these will be blackmail pictures one day. He came into the office with my nursing cover and he was holding his baby with a big smile on his face. I asked him to feed his baby and he stuffed her down the cover. Priceless!
