chocolate bribery

I find the 2 year old stage very hard to photograph. Maybe it's just my own kid. Either way I always have to bribe him if I want to take a picture of him. So here he is with a mouth full of chocolate.

Spring pics

So in order to catch up here are a bunch of spring time pictures. We've been outside just about every chance we have.

Cookies I made for the MOMS Club Spring party.

Riding the tractor (I also have a picture of Mason at 7 months on the same tractor! I'll have to dig it up)

I love his happy face

Mason is a great big brother. He loves to push Ryder on the swing.

The boys got a John Deere Gator for Easter. Mason loves to drive it and even drove it all the way down the street to Nonna & Grandpa's house. For a 2 year old he is amazing at steering!

We're at the park nearly every day

Family picture

This is our first picture of a family of 4 since we were at the hospital!

Happy Easter!

Finally a picture of the 2 boys together! Mason was bribed with Jelly beans.

We were so bad this year and forgot to color eggs. Well not exactly forgot but we were so busy and just couldn't find the time! Next year I promise!

The Easter Bunny is scary

I thought at least one of the kids might like him. Now that Mason is getting older he's starting to understand things more. We talk about the Easter Bunny and stop and look at him whenever we're at the mall. Our local bank had a day where you could have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny for free. That sounded a lot better than the overpriced mall bunny and I was able to take my own pictures as well. I think we might hold off on torturing them until they ask to see Santa/Easter Bunny. Although I love the photo ops.

Ryder 7 months

A little behind (what else is new!). I've been busy with a million and one things.

Ryder is 7 months!

We had a weight check (did I post about that) and he is back to growing like crazy! Gained almost 2 lbs in a month (They usually look for 1/2 lb every 2 weeks).

At 7 months Ryder

weighs 17 lbs 7oz
wears 12 month clothes
eats twice a day
army crawls all over the place
can SIT for an extended amount of time
eat puffs/cheerios with his pincer grasp

Ryder's Baptism

Ryder was Baptized on at the Easter vigil service. It started at 8pm and didn't end until 10pm. Not only did we have Ryder there, but Mason as well. I have to say I wasn't looking forward to it since it was so late in the evening. Both of the kids go to bed around 7. Ryder's Godparents live in North Carolina so it was the soonest date that worked for all of us (our Church only does a handful of Baptism's a year on certain dates). Despite being nervous and wondering why we picked this date on the way to the church everything went well. It was a beautiful service that started out in pitch black and was candlelit in the beginning. Mason loved looking at all the candles and only got burned twice. There was a couple iffy moments with Ryder but I just went to the back and helped him get to sleep. It was a very busy week for us with having Ryder's Godparents here, the Baptism and then hosting Easter the next day. I was happy to see Monday and get back into our routine.

The day before his Baptism we did a quick little photo shoot while Mason was napping. Ryder wore the same outfit Mason did. It was made out of my wedding gown!
